FDNY’s ancient firehouses ‘about to collapse,’ need hundreds of millions in repairs: union

Many of the FDNY’s predominately century-old firehouses and other buildings are so dilapidated that they need hundreds of millions of dollars in renovations to make them safe – including 23 with rotting roofs requiring immediate repairs that City Hall has long ignored, union honchos say.
